Supplement your game experience

Below are ways to add excitement to your TurboCrib experience. None are compulsory but we at The Cottage employ them all in our game.

Dealing Hands -

  • When shuffling the deck the pone (i.e. the player not dealing) is allowed one shuffle, but the dealer can always have the final shuffle.
  • The dealer must offer the pone the opportunity to cut the deck before dealing. If he doesn't and deals the hand, the pone can examine his cards and elect to keep them or declare a misdeal, but if the pone discards to the crib he must play the hand. Note that if the pone elects to shuffle before the deal, the dealer must still offer a cut afterward.
  • Leave your cards face down on the table as they are dealt. If you peek, your opponent can declare a misdeal.
  • Exposed card. If you are dealt a card face up, you can keep it by turning it face down or you can declare a misdeal. Once you pick up your hand, however, you must play it.

Playing Hands -

  • Crib discards are irrevocable and can't be reviewed.
  • As you play, leave your cards face up on the table in full view until the hand is complete. Players will need to know what cards have been played.
  • All declarations are irrevocable.
